The first public event of the 2019 exhibition: the J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller Prize Design Presentations took place on Saturday, January 19.
The Miller Prize is awarded to international leaders in their fields who bring unique perspectives in connecting people to place and community. The Design Presentations provided not only the opportunity to witness acclaimed designers present their concepts in a public format, but also gave everyone a look at what is to come when the 2019 exhibition opens in the fall.
The Design Presentations will also feature the University Design Research Fellows. Representing eight universities, these fellows will translate their innovative research into installations and experiences that explore ways in which architecture and design can improve cities and advance new practices in design and fabrication.
