FAQ

Can anyone attend the Symposium?
Yes! The 2020 Symposium is free and anyone with access to the internet can attend. If you need help with group registrations, let us know at info@exhibitcolumbus.org

How do I register on my own?
Head over to the 2020 Symposium schedule and click on the link to register for each talk. Registration is through Eventbrite. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email, and a reminder email with a link to the talk the day of each event.

Do I have to attend all the Conversations?
No — any of the conversations can be attended individually. We do encourage people to watch both the Thematic Conversation and Columbus Conversation around each topic every week. This connectedness will create a more enriching experience.

What is the difference between the Thematic Conversations and the Columbus Conversations?
Thematic Conversations will feature national and international experts talking about the weekly topic and will be streamed through our media partner website.

Columbus Conversations will feature J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller Prize recipients in conversation with Columbus stakeholders, and will be streamed through Exhibit Columbus via Zoom and Facebook Live.

If I attend, will I be asked to participate, or may I just listen?
The conversations are set up for viewers to watch and listen, not participate. There will be a chat function set up for certain talks to take questions from viewers at the conclusion of each session, but participation is not required.

Do I have to download Zoom on my computer in order to watch the talks?
No — the Thematic Conversations can be viewed by going to Dezeen’s website at the time of the talk. The Columbus Conversations can be viewed through the Exhibit Columbus Facebook page.
