Rick Valicenti of Thirst was commissioned to design the graphic identity and exhibition wayfinding for Exhibit Columbus. This colorful system is a re-expression of mid-century optimism. The graphic system is also aligned with Paul Rand’s enduring identity for the Columbus Area Visitors Center and Alexander Girard’s color palette for the Miller House and Garden interiors.
A Chicago-based communication design practice founded in 1981 that has evolved to the current design nucleus which shares 19 years of collective group experience. Thirst collaborates with discerning clients in the design, cultural, and civic communities and engages in a process of discovery and experimentation, focusing on concept, detailed craft, and artful expression.
