Over two inspiring days, special guests and participants will explore the curatorial theme Yes And—a concept rooted in improv that encourages collaboration and bold new ideas.

The Commons

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, performance, and creativity at the Variety Show! This event will feature a headlining performance by acclaimed turntablist duo Da Odd Couple—comprised of DJ Rob Swift and Mista Sinista—recognized internationally for their innovative artistry and dynamic live sets.

In addition, the event will showcase a diverse lineup of acts and performers, including the sword-wielding belly dancer Liah Mazz, comedian Daryl Holenquest, musician Allie Burbrink, magician Adam Schill, and the acclaimed jazz ensemble Premium Blend. This all-day event will feature presentations by all 2024–25 participants: the J. Irwin and Xenia S. Miller Prize Recipients, University Design Research Fellows, High School Design Team, and Communication Designer.

Each participant will present their design concept for the 2025 Exhibition and seek feedback from the audience. This is a terrific way to learn how these creative designers approach their work and create a concept that will become reality by this fall.
