Exhibit Columbus is an annual exploration of architecture, art, design, and community.
For more than 70 years the modest American city of Columbus, Indiana, has shown the world that good design can create an exceptional place to live, work, and play. Today, Columbus consistently ranks among the best cities of its size, and its exceptional design heritage includes seven National Historic Landmarks.
Exhibit Columbus seeks to celebrate Columbus’ design heritage while making it relevant to new audiences. Exhibit Columbus is the signature project of Landmark Columbus, which was created in 2015 to “care for the design heritage of Columbus and inspire communities to invest in the traditions and values that use architecture, art, and design to improve people’s lives and make cities stronger.”
2019 Design Presentations
The Design Presentations provide not only the opportunity to witness acclaimed designers present their concepts in a public format, but also give everyone a look at what is to come when the 2019 exhibition opens next fall.
The 2019 exhibition will include five Miller Prize Installations, five Washington Street Installations, six University Design Research Fellowships, and the Columbus High School Design Team from Bartholomew County School Corporation’s C4 Program. The entire exhibition will be tied together with a dynamic wayfinding and graphic design system by Thirst.
